REPORT ON NATIONAL UNITY DAY (RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS)

The Birth Anniversary of our first Deputy Prime Minister late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated as National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) on 31st October 2022 organized by the NSS unit of AITS, KADAPA. The NSS Programme Officer, Dr T Sankar Reddy explained about why National Unity Day is celebrated? and key role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the time of independence, in convincing several princely states to align with the Indian Union. The day of his birth, therefore, celebrates his efforts and contributions. Dr.A. Sudharkara Reddy, Principal made aware of student responsibilities as citizens of India and how a national integrity helps in defeating the actual and potential threats for unity, integrity and security of the nation. Mrs. S. Z.Parveen, Assistant Professor spoke on efforts of Vallabhbhai Patel in making the princely kingdoms concede with the dominion of India. The NSS student volunteers, teaching and non teaching staff took the pledge to preserve the unity and integrity of the nation and spread this message among the countrymen. All of them enthusiastically participated in a rally around the premises of the college and Chintakomma Dinne village to evoke the spirit of integrity among the people.

“I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the Nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of late Sardar Vallabhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country”.
