Guest Lecture on “Industry Institution Interaction”

A Guest lecture on “Industry Instruction Interaction” was organised for the students of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 12th September 2022 in the Mechanical Engineering E-Classroom from 2.00 to 3.30 pm. The resource person for the session was Sri. MVBS Nandan Reddy, a very successful and dynamic entrepreneur in the business of composite materials since the last 8 years. He was the Corporate Director of Trio-vision Composite Technologies Pvt. Ltd, KADAPA.

The Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering Sri. M. Murali Mohan Naik welcomed the guest speaker. The speaker explained about his journey from being a normal Engineer in an industry to being successful entrepreneur. He stressed on the fact that practical knowledge of the business world is as important as theoretical knowledge. He learnt business & marketing strategies from his own experiences. He introduced the different aspects of entrepreneurship and emphasized that zeal and great idea are the only ingredients in a recipe for business start-up. He mentioned that the reason that people do not start their new ventures in a country like India is due to non-awareness amongst the population of India and decides to go for jobs in private or government sectors so as to minimize the risk. Therefore, he emphasised to raise the basic awareness of entrepreneurial concepts and to enable students to identify and learn how to make a mind-set to take up entrepreneurship as a challenging career.

He concluded with a word of advice for the students that, instead of being job seekers they should become job creators.

The session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. S. Md. Hakeem. This session was attended by 56 students.
